During this time, there are no classes in progress throughout the ENTIRE University. By having this gap, students are able to meet with all of the different clubs, and organizations they are involved with. Most groups will meet once a week during this time and discuss everything and anything related to their club or group.

Today there was a special presentation during this time in the O'Shaugnessy Education Center Auditorium. Coming from Savage, MN the Native Pride dance group performed for the St. Thomas community, showing everyone the different cultural dances, and rituals of numerous different native tribes throughout the state.

This was a very unique, and entertaining experience for me. Personally I can say that this was one of the only experiences I have had directly with Native American culture. It is a fascinating blend of music, dance, tradition and ritual that I absolutely love.

I took a few pictures to show you what I mean.

Have a great day!

Hometown: Oakdale, MNMajor: International StudiesYear: FreshmanHobbies: Tommie Ambassador, Track and Field, Photography, Martial Arts
Sun Nov 01 13:00:55 CST 2009

Hello all,

I know I am a little behind on this, but I decided that studying for midterms was more important than writing about them...

With that said, the first 1/4 of the year is DONE. I have no idea how that happened so fast, but I can't waste time complaining!

Midterms were tough, studying for one test is hard, but four in sucession is a task I had not yet attempted to accomplish. I found that taking a little bit of time for each subject, and transitioning every hour or so, makes it a lot less boring.

I hope I did well, I'll let you know!

Halloween was also this weekend, apparently I am "too old" to trick or treat so I spent the night with friends instead. It was a lot of fun! It is a lot different seeing Halloween in such a big city, but a cool experience nevertheless.

Hope your weekend went well too!

I'll post pictures as they come.

Cody's Blog
http://blog.stthomas.edu/cody/2009/11/at_the_end_of_the_1st.html?WT.mc_id=TBRSS"}]);
